Job Information

1. Responsible for the design, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and improvements to control systems.

2. Supports automation system design including PLC & HMI programming. Ability to program in Allen Bradley, Siemens and /or Omron controls.

3. Writes documents including work/user instructions, functional specifications, detailed design specifications, electrical and hydraulic schematics, etc.

4. Conducts full functional and factory acceptance testing and participates in project startup and commissioning.

5. Providing production support by troubleshooting and resolving high level machine issues.

6. Leads projects to upgrade and improve equipment.

7. Specifies, purchases, installs, documents, and maintains A.C. and D.C. drives.

8. Heavy emphasis on the ongoing troubleshooting and maintenance of control systems.

9. Trains shift maintenance technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

2. 5-10 years of controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

3. Experience in creating technical documentation in a regulated environment.

4. Ability to read, write, and use electrical and hydraulic schematics as a troubleshooting aid.

5. Strong leadership and teamwork skills with a results oriented commitment.

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

7. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.

8. Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2D.

9. Experience with the management of a CMMS system is desirable.

10. Must be willing to work flexible hours should project work require.

11. Must be willing to provide technical support to off shift and weekend maintenance staff.
